"THE LEADERSHIP MISSION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT"
"For as many that are LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD, they are the sons of God" (Romans 8:14).
The Holy Spirit is a divine personality saddled with the mission of Leading believers,
Because of His Omnipresent nature of God, (i.e He is present everywhere), this distinct quality of His person makes His Leadership most reliable and efficient. Jesus spoke about the limitation of man's leading using a parable, He said "Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?.." (Luke 6:38)
The Holy Spirit is sent to dwell and work in us by God after the legal price was paid by Jesus. So by Redemption, i.e by the finished Work of Christ, we are now made to enjoy His ministry in us. One of His mission in us is to Lead us.
David in (Psalm 77:13-20) declaring the greatness and wonders of God, he said of God; "Thou leddest thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses.". Before the finished work of Christ Jesus, The Holy Spirit has been operational but now, He is functional in us, Glory to God, He now works in us and with us, LEADING AND GUIDING US.
HOW TO DISCERN HIS LEADING
The can discern the leading of the Holy Spirit is our spirit, not through our reasoning or emotions. The following are conduits that gives expression of Hid leading:
- Fellowship with His Person (practice personal devotion)
- Fellowship with the brethren (Acts 13:2)
- Open your heart to Word Study
- Spend quality time praying (Acts 13:2)
However, It is not enough to know and discern where The Holy Spirit Leading is, it is more important we FOLLOW HIS LEADING per time. Amen!
