JESUS AND HOPE #3 "WHAT TO DO IN THE MIDST OF TRIALS"

JESUS AND HOPE #3

"WHAT TO DO IN THE MISDT OF TRIALS"

In the previous series, we established from Scriptures that, Trials or challenges are not new, neither are they strange. To give up in the midst of trials is no option as believers In Christ, we must continue to strive till we get to the end. Jesus painted this fact in one of His statement; "To him that endures to the end shall be saved" (Matthew 24:13)

However, Scriptures further tells us what to do when hope seems lost and life seems lifeless, in the midst of trials, there is what Jesus expects from us, lets examine two of such;

  1. BE HOPEFUL!

To be hopeful is to be full of hope and be able to inspire others.

"For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease." (Job 14:7)

Reason is because living things are created with inbuilt capacity to be hopeful. Much more is resident in us living as a living soul. Be hopeful that things will get better soon. Make it a point of duty to see hope in the midst of hopelessness.

No doubt that challenges and trails are just all around us, everything and creatures are faced with their own challenge per time, believers and people generally are faced with serious issues that will only take God to see them through, and I believe should platform is made so we can get closer to God so we can ascertain the way out and the way forward while being hopeful.

  1. NEVER RELY ON YOUR OWN CONCEIT BUT IN JESUS.

We described Hope to be an anticipation of a desired end. Meanwhile, as we are anticipating about a positive end, we must never rely on our human-limited-conceit, which most times leads to error. Solomon was able to describe a man that is wise in his own conceits (ideas or imaginations) rather than in God. He said;

"Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him." (Proverb 26:12)

Lets try to keep and maintain our walk with Jesus even while we are faced with any kind of challenges, because No Jesus, No Hope!
