JESUS AND LOVE #3
THE LOVE OF JESUS, THE LOVE OF THE FATHER
Christianity is about the demonstration of the love life of Jesus.
To properly understand The Love of Jesus, we must understand who The Father is, what Jesus said about The Father and how we can Love the Father, for Loving Jesus is Loving the Father.
In Scriptures, many times, Jesus made mention of the Father, he would say:
"The Father dwells in me" (John 14:10)
"I came from the Father" (John 7:28-29)
"The Father teaches me" (John 8:28)
"The Father sent me" (John 8:28)
"The Father works with me" (John 8:29)
"The Father delivered all things to me" (Luke 10:22)
"No one can come to the Father except through me" (John 14:6)
"I am The Father" (John 4:20-26, 14:9, Rev. 1:17-18, 1 John 2:1)
We shall do a close study in the above, However, let us keep our focus on the Love of Jesus and the Love
"Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me." (John 8:42)
In the above Scripture, Jesus was speaking to some learned men, religious men who claims to love God but didn't love Jesus, these same men Jesus was speaking to hated Him, they even wanted to kill Him.
I was privileged to teach a group of secondary school student in their fellowship, on a series on "BEHOLD THE MAN JESUS". I got to a point where my spirit man was almost crying out that 'we don't get to
In the time of Jesus, many persons could only relate with Jesus in soul realm, as a normal human person in the human flesh. People (including the disciples of Jesus) were used to the Jesus they could see, touch, and relate with physically, but they never knew Him as Lord, because the personality of Jesus can only be truly known by revelation.
Jesus said, if God were your Father, you will love me... proven that Our Love for The Father is validate by our Love for Jesus. The religious leaders, even though they claim to truly love the God, according to Jesus, they don't lobe God if they don't Love Him, because Jesus is the access to the Father. (John 14:6)
Paul knew Jesus as Lord or the Father until he encountered Jesus as Lord on his way to Damascus. On his encounter with Jesus, guess who was reveled to Him; Jesus, The Father and Lord.
"And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest." (Acts 26:15)
Before then, Paul was seriously engaged in persecution and killing of followers of Jesus (i.e. Christians). Unfortunate for him, he felt was serving God and doing the Father good by his engagement. Paul never knew Jesus as Lord.
Today, Jesus is all men messiah, but not all men Lord, but many my die without knowing Him nor come to the reality of His true person and glory. Jesus died as the messiah for the whole world, but until we received Him, He can't be our Lord.
Paul never loved Jesus because He never knew the Father, so also He never truly loved the Father because He never knew Jesus. This is why many (even Christians) do not truly love the Father because they have not come to the revelation and reality of who Jesus truly is.
